Trying to determine where to install the NSS switch. I went with the Lenco single ram led kit. It has led Lights to give you an idea of where the tab is deployed . This will allow you to customize the NSS how far you want it deployed and be able to go there every single time. It also has an auto retract feature that when you power off the boat pulls the NSS in completely. Only feature you lose compared to the factory system through LINC is that it won't auto retract after a certain speed is reached. So let's hear it.

I've been thinking that I might have one of my EE buddy's make me a board to trigger the auto-retract based on over and under speed... I really don't want to forget that I have them deployed when I put it on the trailer.
I'm interested to hear your opinion on your listed vs NSS surf wake after this install.
I rode a 2012 with NSS lots of times. So here is my take.
Slamming your boat with a $%^&ton of ballast and leaning the boat will always give you a bigger wake then with the NSS IMO. However the NSS gives you an extra option to customize the wake to your liking. The NSS also just makes the boat way more convenient to use for us. No more waiting on bags emptying and moving weight around to lean the boat over going from boarding to surfing. I don't surf that much at all. Maybe ¼ of the time I hit the water on a good day. However my wife and daughters are all starting to surf now quite a bit more. I can only assume that will lead to more surf sets for me as well. Half of us are goofy and half are regular. So it was a lot of time waiting and swapping sides last summer. My wife drives like a pro, but she never really was comfortable behind the wheel with the rubrail touching the water leaned over. So NSS will eliminate that part. NSS will also allow us to swap sides, and go from boarding to surfing with the push of a button........all positives for us. As far as the wake itself, for the goofy side NSS really shapes it up nicely. My buddy who rides regular and owns the 2012 says its not a huge improvement on the regular side. He likes the option of shaping the lip with the NSS as he rides skim and surf. For recreational surfers like us I feel NSS will help us enjoy the boat more and have way less down time. Especially now that we entertain friends more and more each year. It will also make it not so stressful on new drivers, or my wife. Will it boost the wake and make us go WOW???????from my experience not really, but it will wow us with its ease of use
An excellent choice to run the power wire for the Automatic Retract feature is to the back of the 12v. accessory socket to the right of the driver's seat. It retains power when the keypad is "off" so when you turn off the engine the plates automatically retract. That side panel must be removed to run the wires from the stern to the dash anyway which gives you easy access to that socket as well. Connect the main + and - wires from the Lenco module directly to the corresponding inputs on the Nautique circuit breaker panel under the dash.
I was going to go with the Lenco switch, but i didn't want to spend that much on it... After it was all said and done, I probably ended up having just as much invested in my switch, but I don't have auto retract or indicator lights.
Like a politician I need to "walk back" a statement I made regarding powering the Auto Retract feature on the Lenco switch. Do Not use the 12v Accessory Socket. It still maintains power when the ignition is shut off meaning it will Not tell the NSS plates to retract. Another power source is needed which loses power when the ignition loses power.
Yeah. I go dusted with that custom setup. That looks awesome.

For me the way the 12v is configured I prefer it that way. As you mentioned tho they will not auto retract unless you completely shut down the boat. For me that's perfect. I preferred that way over every time I swap riders and kill the engine the plates retract. This way when we swap riders the plates stay deployed and we don't have to reset everything to get it deployed again. Some may not like that some may. I actually prefer the 12v way.
One last comment. To finalize the install as a "fail safe ". I moved my bow roller/stop on my trailer back apprx 5-6inches. This now makes the transom of my boat hang off the bunk every so slightly. Now just in case we idle in and forget it noting will be damaged.
