PLEASE STOP AND READ! The DIY section is for posting DIY articles only! These articles should be about some repair or project that YOU HAVE COMPLETED, and how others can also accomplish whatever you have done. The DIY section is NOT a place to start threads asking HOW to do something. Threads like that must be started in the Maint. / Tech. Discussion section. It is permissible to ask the original poster questions about his or her project in their thread here though.
This is the best setup for oil changes I have seen, I highly recommend this. No tools and oil changes, including transmission can be done in less than 15min total. See attachment including links and snips below:
I just took some stuff down to the local fitting store and had them size based on it. If you take down the hose cap and both sizes of hose you’ll get everything you need. I’d use a 3/8” quick connect and make sure you don’t use one for a pressure washer as they have silicone seals which expand after contact with oil and won’t work
The quick-connects are key. I can look up what I ordered on Amazon if you need it, I purchased a new male fitting for my 2024 G this summer to match what I already had on the extractor for the previous boat. Likewise, I love the idea of the filter oil catch tub.
There's a good sticky thread on this setup in the main Maintenance forum.
