Official Correct Craft Press Release ---->
ORLANDO, FLA (August 24, 2012) — Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) is excited to announce the addition of a new, one of a kind slider to their world-renown cable park this week.
The new OWC slider is a groundbreaking feature offering wakeboarders and wakeskaters the opportunity to take cable riding to a higher level. The slider was designed to offer one of skateboarding’s most popular features that never before has been available for wakeboarders and wakeskaters; a stair set allowing the rider to either jump over the set or grind on a rail. These unique features come after an entry ramp and pool on the slider to make it the only obstacle of its kind in the United States. The new slider will allow more advanced riders to push the limits of their sport while also giving newer and younger riders the opportunity to advance their skills.
The newest addition to the park comes only days after the announcement of the cable park’s acquisition by Aktion Parks, a subsidiary of Correct Craft.
Correct Craft’s CEO Bill Yeargin stated “This new feature has been a dream of Rene Hofmann’s for some time. We are happy that we could help bring it to fruition and provide riders at OWC with a very unique experience.” “Our team is committed to not only maintaining OWC as the world’s premier cable park but also looking for opportunities to further enhance the park while simultaneously looking for additional opportunities in the global cable park industry,” Yeargin added.
The Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC), owned by Correct Craft subsidiary Aktion Parks, is a unique watersports park designed for wakeboarding, wakeskating, kneeboarding and water skiing. Established in 1999, OWC has become the premier locale for riders and skiers of all levels. From beginning riders just wanting to try the sport for recreation, to professional wakeboarders and skiers from around the world, OWC caters to all. To learn more, visit www.orlandowatersports.com.
