Official Aktion Parks Press Release:
Orlando, FL (October 21, 2020) - Over the weekend, Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) hosted the second annual Cable Games presented by Hyperlite. Red Bull and local OWC families also supported the highly anticipated event.
This event not only catered to high-end competition but also to wakeboarders of all levels. The event saw growth with 66 total riders compared to 44 riders in 2019. The largest increase came from the beginner division with over 21 riders, many of them competing for the first time. With over 60 heats in the two-day competition, riders had two chances to make it to the qualifiers at the Cable Games. Each competitor received an all day OWC pass, event t-shirt and additional gifts with their entry.
Kellan Rudnicki Director of Operations stated, “It’s amazing seeing the sport I love growing like this, I’ve been competing at OWC’s grassroots events for many years now and seeing the recent growth and support by the local community has truly been exceptional this past year. Thanks to all the parents, team members and volunteers that help put on great events like these!”
Bill Yeargin, CEO of Correct Craft (Owner of Aktion Parks) stated, “The Cable Games brought in many happy riders, new and seasoned, over the weekend. We always enjoy hosting competitions that help bring not only excitement to the sport but also opportunities to connect with riders all over the world.”
