Official Yar-Craft Press Release:
Mountain Home, AR (July 26, 2019) –- At this week’s annual “Excellence in Action” Dealer Meeting held in Branson, Missouri, Yar-Craft boats introduced its 2020 Model 219 TFX, a wave-crushing giant that will set the standard for ride, comfort, performance and fishability on the walleye tours and for multi-species anglers everywhere. It’s rated for up to a 400 HP engine, carries 60 gallons of gas, and will handle anything any lake can throw at it.
“Whenever you’re on big water chasing big fish, especially for big money, this is the deep-hulled boat that you need to get you out there safely and then back to the dock,” said Rick Pierce, President of Bass Cat and Yar-Craft Boats. It’s the dry ride Yar-Craft is known for with an improved all-fiberglass transom, with narrowed gunwales, a wider deck and many new features including SeaDek flooring, multiple Engel coolers, Shox pedestals for the seats and modular fiberglass consoles with Century glass windshields. It also has an angle-cut trolling motor mount for maximum efficiency and trolling power.
The 219 TFX has a weight-forward design that allows for a smooth ride and provides innovative enhancements including a box for planer boards, a 9’ center rod compartment and a 13’ side rod compartment. A major innovation is the pitch of the decks, both front and rear, to keep the angler on a level deck to enhance safety and balance in rough seas.
Additional innovations include a built-in net scabbard and measuring board holder, along with an all-in-one dash panel for easy operation.
The Yar-Craft Pro Team is already convinced that these developments will allow them to continue to rule the tour. Reigning NWT Angler of the Year, Brett King, who contributed heavily to the product’s revamp, said that Yar-Craft is “closing out our 50th year with a new beginning. Pictures simply cannot do this new 219 TFX justice. You have to lay eyes on it and take a guided tour to fully understand how impressive it is. We had one of the fastest hulls on the market before and now you’re certainly going to want to turn your hat backwards and hang on.”
The new 219 TFX will go into production this summer as we complete our on-water testing and production validation. Check with your local dealer for production updates and timing. Our dealer reception to the new design has been outstanding and we have a substantial order backlog. New orders should be completed quickly to ensure fall delivery.
