Official Correct Craft Press Release
(ORLANDO, FLA.) – Correct Craft, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, has named Teresa “Terry” Dunagin vice president of marketing. She will be starting in mid–January.
Correct Craft is an internationally recognized leader in the competitive ski boat industry with its Ski Nautique line of tournament inboard boats. The company also pioneered the wakeboard tower that is popular on many watersports boats today. Dunagin replaces Gary Meloon who assumed the role of vice president of sales for the organization.
For the past 12 years, Dunagin has held various positions within Boston Whaler, Inc., a division of Brunswick Boat Group, most recently serving as its vice president of marketing. During that time she also was appointed by the Governor of Florida to represent marine manufacturers on the state’s boating advisory council for the maximum two terms. Dunagin has a journalism degree from the University of Florida.
Dunagin is no stranger to the ski and wakeboard market. Prior to her employment with Boston Whaler, she worked in Correct Craft’s marketing department for five years. “I left Correct Craft because I saw a challenging opportunity with Boston Whaler as they transitioned to Florida from Boston,” said Dunagin. “I’m returning to Correct Craft because they are at a pivotal point in that company and I absolutely have to be a part of that.” Correct Craft plans to open a new manufacturing facility in the summer of 2006.
According to Correct Craft’s president Terry McNew, Dunagin will be a valuable addition to the management team. “She brings solid marine industry experience and strategic marketing capabilities that will help us achieve even greater success.” Dunagin stated, “Correct Craft boats and Boston Whalers are the best of the best. And when you truly believe in the product, marketing the brand is infinitely easier.”
