ORLANDO, FL (Sept. 16, 2004)—Mr. Terry McNew has accepted the position of CEO and President of Correct Craft, Inc. of Orlando Florida. A national search was conducted by the Dayton, Ohio-based executive search firm Lovett and Lovett Inc. Tom Lovett, President of the firm, assisted the Correct Craft Board of Directors in a selection process that touched over 400 potential candidates.
Ken Meloon, Chairman of the Correct Craft Board, said, “Mr. McNew was selected from three finalists who were in contention for the appointment. We are confident that Mr. McNew’s leadership qualities and extensive background and experience within the marine industry, coupled with Correct Craft’s 80 years of boat building excellence, will continue the tradition that has made Correct Craft a success.”
Mr. McNew was formerly Vice President of Sea Ray Boats, Inc. and reported directly to the CEO. He led the operations of eight United States facilities and one European facility with a workforce of over 3000 employees. Over the past 17 years he has held positions in both Engineering and Manufacturing. As Vice President of Manufacturing he was also responsible for Sea Ray’s Quality Systems and Manufacturing Technology group, which is responsible for the development and execution of robotics and closed mold manufacturing processes. Under his leadership and desire for continuous and operational excellence, he made significant contributions to the overall success of Sea Ray Boats, Inc.
Mr. McNew is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Economics. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the University of Tennessee. He is married with two children and is a Florida native.
