    Correct Craft Acquires Indmar

    Millington, TN (November 7, 2022) -​​​​ Today, Correct Craft announced the acquisition of Indmar Marine Engines, a pioneer and leader in the inboard marine engine segment with a hard-earned reputation for delivering world-class quality and reliability. Indmar will be operated by Correct Craft subsidiary Liberty Technologies which also manages PCM Engines, Crusader Engines, Levitator Engines, and Velvet Drive Transmissions.

    While an important new member of Correct Craft's portfolio of brands, Indmar will continue to operate independently, retaining its own brand and team members. Indmar will remain operating from its world headquarters in Millington, TN, while continuing to supply its boat-building manufacturers and network of dealers.

    For over half a century, Indmar has been focused on the future, introducing new innovations and technologies that have enabled the sport and the industry to progress and grow.     Wow, that's a big deal! And I don't mean from a numbers perspective, but I am sure that was a big deal also.
    Correct Craft is doing a pretty fair job of grabbing a good corner of the market. Between PCM Marine Engines, Crusader Engines, Centurion Boats, among other things.
    Still privately held I believe, pretty impressive.

      That is nuts. How does this happen without the trade commission getting inolved? I mean if you own all the marine engine producers wouldn't that be cornering the market for a product. MC has Ilmor but to my knowledge they're a bit player in comparison to what Nautique has put together. Above my paygrade I suppose.

        The FTC isn’t getting involved in a niche submarket. There’s still a ton of competition in the marine engine space, just not in the inboard engine space. This isn’t Bombadier buying OMC. Watersports tow boats make up an incredibly small part of the overall boat market. I suspect any current Indmar customer not wanting to pay fealty to Correct Craft is going to jump ship to Mercury. They were a reasonably sized player in the inboard market at one point. I think Heyday is only one using them right now but they have a viable product. I’m also pretty sure even in the towboat space Malibu has been marinizing their own now with their Monsoon engines so at least two of the big players in inboard boats are running non-Correct Craft engines. (Edit: the two being Malibu and Mastercraft)

            Not sure how I feel about this news.

            Couple that with fact indekendsby dealers are becoming less and less being bought by “groups/companies””


            just not liking the writing on the wall from a consumer standpoint.
