Official Correct Craft Press Release:
Orlando, FL (October 25, 2024) - Correct Craft employees, family members, and volunteers came together this past weekend to honor Ralph C. Meloon's legacy during the annual "Mr. Ralph Service Day." With over 50 volunteers, including nine members of the Meloon family, participants worked to support a local community organization, continuing the spirit of service that defined Ralph’s life and the company’s mission of “Making Life Better.”
Ralph C. Meloon left a lasting mark on the boating industry and the Correct Craft family. Known for his faith, encouragement, and commitment to serving others, Ralph’s influence was felt far beyond his leadership roles as President, Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Chairman of the Board. His vision, dedication, and values helped shape Correct Craft, building both an enduring brand and a company culture rooted in integrity and service.
During "Mr. Ralph Service Day," volunteers embodied Ralph’s spirit by working on a variety of impactful projects, including enhancements to a community garden and aquaponics area, general property improvements, and preparing for future upgrades. These efforts support UGO, a local organization dedicated to providing resources for those in need, aligning perfectly with Ralph’s lifelong focus on making a difference.
Correct Craft President and CEO Bill Yeargin shared his thoughts on the day and Ralph’s legacy, saying, "Mr. Ralph Service Day is one of the most meaningful traditions at Correct Craft. It’s a day to honor Ralph’s incredible legacy by giving back to our community, just as he gave so much to everyone around him. Ralph’s values—faith, integrity, and family—continue to inspire us as we grow and serve. This weekend’s efforts remind us that his legacy isn’t just in the boats we build but in the lives we impact."
Under Ralph’s leadership, Correct Craft became a global force in the boating industry, pioneering grassroots water skiing programs and exporting boats to 85 countries. Even as the company grew, Ralph remained deeply connected to its mission, regularly encouraging employees and celebrating their success. Correct Craft is proud to carry forward Ralph C. Meloon’s heritage, continuing to serve its customers, communities, and employees with the values that were so important to him.
