Orlando, FLA (August 18, 2008) – Team Nautique athletes had impressive performances at the Air Nautique WWA Wakeboard Nationals, the 66th GOODE Water Ski Nationals, the Canadian Wakeboard Championships and the Canadian Water Ski Nationals.
Reigning National Champion in the Jr. Men’s Division, Jimmy LaRiche, was unbeatable at the 2008 Air Nautique Wakeboard Nationals. His final score of 89.50 was high enough to earn LaRiche his second consecutive National Title. LaRiche’s stellar performance also landed him the PCM Amateur Best Trick Award, a $500 bonus for executing the most remarkable trick in the contest, a Cab 9 off of the double-up.
This past weekend, at the Water Ski Nationals, 2007 Jr. Masters Slalom Champion Brooks Wilson took home a first place win in the Boy’s 3 Slalom category with a score of 5@ 38-off (11.25 m).
At the Canadian Water Ski Championships this past weekend, Whitney McClintock placed first in Slalom, Tricks and Jump to win the Women’s Open Overall Title. World Champion Jaret Llewellyn also took the first place win in the Men’s Open Overall Title at this event.
Additionally, despite tough competition, Aaron Rathy won his second National Championship at the Canadian Wakeboard Championships on Sunday.
“All of us on the Nautique team are extremely proud of our athletes’ recent wins,” stated Correct Craft’s President/CEO, Bill Yeargin. “This demonstrates yet again that Nautique athletes are second to none in the industry,” added Yeargin.
