Orlando, FLA (April 21, 2008) – The American Water Ski Educational Foundation (AWSEF) recently awarded Correct Craft’s Arden “Art” Cozier with the prestigious Award of Distinction in acknowledgment of his accomplishments and contributions to the water skiing community. Art Cozier’s recognition ceremony took place April 19 at the AWSEF’s 26th annual Water Ski Hall of Fame banquet at the Omni Orlando Resort in Champions Gate, Florida.
Cozier is credited as one of the early technical controllers of three-event water skiing after the position was created in 1975. He also served as a driver and a judge. His life’s work has been in boat design and product, mainly with Correct Craft. Currently, Cozier works at Southeast Correct Craft and is widely recognized as one of the most gifted towboat mechanics in the world.
Correct Craft’s President/CEO, Bill Yeargin, stated “Art Cozier is an incredible individual who has contributed much to our industry. The entire Nautique family is thrilled that Art’s contributions have been honored by the AWSEF.”
The American Water Ski Educational Foundation, (AWSEF), parent organization of the Water Ski Hall of Fame and Museum, was founded in 1968 as a non-profit foundation dedicated to the preservation of the traditions of one of America’s most popular family recreational activities and to the encouragement of and education in the safe enjoyment of waterskiing.
