ORLANDO, FLA. (July 13, 2006)—Nearly 30,000 fans packed Waterfront Park this weekend in Kelowna, Canada, to witness Danny Harf and George Daniels as they took First Place in the Wakeboard and Wakeskate divisions, respectively.
With Harf and Daniels victories this past weekend, both moved into first place in their divisions on the season-long point’s race, with just two stops left in the season.
In the men’s wakeboard competition, Harf went head-to-head against Shane Bonifay, finishing first; this is Harf’s second consecutive Pro Tour victory in a row. “The momentum has begun. I know I need to capitalize on this win, carry it on into the next event and hopefully throughout the rest of the season,” said Harf.
In the wakeskating event, Daniels and Aaron Rathy, both Team Nautique riders, went head-to-head to lock up the Team Nautique domination in Kelowna. As for what Daniels thought of his win, “I feel great!” said Daniels. “Just being in the finals is amazing. Rathy is a teammate of mine; we had such a good time here this week, so it was a perfect ending.”
Director of Marketing and Team Manager Brian Sullivan said, “I am very pleased with our entire team. Team Nautique is as solid as a rock! I am stoked to see Danny maintaining his winning ways back home in the states, as well as George continuing his run for his first Pro Tour Championship.”
