Official Correct Craft Press Release
ORLANDO, FLA. (April 26, 2006) —The first stop of the Waterski and Wakeboard World Cup was held April 20th-22nd, in Doha, Qatar. Nautique athletes Danny Harf, Clementine Lucine and Rhoni Barton Bischoff defeated the competition to earn top honors.
In the Men’s wakeboarding competition, Harf- a wild card entry for the World Cup Series- took first place in head to head competition against Daniel Watkins to claim his first title of the year.
In the Women’s shortboard event team skiers Lucine and Barton competed against each other in the finals. Lucine, the 2005 World Cup Champion, stood her ground scoring 7,580 points to claim the title at this stop. Barton, who was competing for the first time after a year of rehabilitation for an injury, claimed second place.
“We’re extremely proud of the effort put forth by all of our athletes at this event,” said Correct Craft’s vice president of marketing Terry Dunagin. “Despite occasional rough water conditions, they prevailed. That takes stamina and perseverance.”
