Official Correct Craft Press Release
ORLANDO, FL (November 4, 2005) —This past weekend Kyle Eade finished his 2005 competition season in style by breaking his New Zealand Jump record. Eade jumped 67.7m (222ft) at a record tournament in Tampa, Florida behind the 2005 Ski Nautique 196 with a PCM® ZR 6 6.0 Liter V-8 Multi-Port EFI 375hp. A Team Nautique athlete, Eade has improved his New Zealand Record by over a foot. Since Eade first claimed the record in 1994, he has added nearly 20 meters to his jumps. This performance capped off a great year for Eade on the Elite Professional circuit ranking 6th in the world.
“I have jumped consistently all season making the finals at all but 2 of the professional events. However, at these tournaments the conditions are not always perfect for record breaking jumps. This weekend everything was perfect, the Ski Nautique towboat that was used helped me get the speed I needed and the slight head wind kept me in the air longer than I have ever been before!”
Eade started the season extremely well at professional events in New Zealand and Australia with a 3rd and 4th respectively and continued his success in the States with a 4th at the Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament™ in May. A nasty crash in some terrible water conditions in Russia set him back a little through August but luckily he wasn’t badly injured and was able to get back to top form for the rest of the year.
