Official Correct Craft Press Release
ORLANDO, FL (June 17, 2005)—Correct Craft, Inc., producer of the 46th Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament™ was the first in the industry to have a continuous live webcast throughout the entire event over the Memorial Day weekend. Over the three days, there were 15,000 unique visitors, including several well-known skiers and wakeboarders, watching the tournament and participated in the live chat feature that was also available. Shaun Murray entered the chat room and chatted with his fans. This is just another example how these athletes take the time to recognize their fans. The Night of Champions was also available through the web cast, and several hundred people viewed that event.
This is a huge stepping stone for our industry, allowing anyone and everyone to watch ski and wakeboard events. The web cast was provided by Jeff Carroll from PlanetNautique. Various websites provided links to the live feed, such as planetnautique.com, masterswaterski.com, endofropegang.com, skifly.com, waterskipros.com, planetwaterski.com, iwsf.com, and inhiswakes.com. This has impacted the industry, and it will only be a matter of time before other major events are broadcast live via the web. Look for the 47th Masters to be available via webcast next year.
