Pro Water ski Jumping comes to Sunset Lakes, Groveland this Sunday the 22nd of May. Sunset Lakes boasts more World jump records set than any other site in the World.
Sunset Lakes Ski Club along with Sunset Landing Home Owners Assoc. is the premier sponsors and are proud to present the Jack Travers Sunset Pro for Elite Women’s jumpers.
Fifteen of the World’s most beautiful and talented water ski jumpers will compete for World Ranking points and prize money over two rounds of jumping. The tournament boasts seven of the top ten women jumpers on the World Ranking list.
Emma Sheers the World’s number 1 ranked jumper is included in the field and certainly is the favorite for the event. The field also includes 2003 World silver medallist Marina Mosti from Italy and former World Champion and World record holder Windermere’s Brenda Baldwin, as well as Clermont’s hometown favorite Brandi Hunt.
“Sunset Lakes is one of the best sites in the World for long jumps and I would expect to see jumps over 180 feet this weekend. With good conditions someone may even break the World Record.”
