ORLANDO, FL (March 16, 2005) — The new 2005 waterski season is finally here and Team Nautique members Jaret Llewellyn, Scot Ellis, Kyle Eade, Curtis Sheers, Emma Sheers and Clementine Lucine showed everyone at Moomba Masters in Melbourne, Australia that this is only the beginning of what’s to come.
Llewellyn, an outstanding 3-event athlete won Men Overall for the sixth time and placed first in Tricks with a score of 10,740 points. He also placed second in Jump with a final distance of 215 feet. Following Llewellyn in jump were teammates Ellis and Eade respectively taking third and fourth place. Ellis returning after an injury last year at the 45th Masters Water Ski &
Wakeboard Tournament™ jumped 212 feet in the final round but his best score of the weekend was 217 feet. Eade, only 7 feet behind Ellis finished with a distance of 210 feet. It came down to Curtis Sheers and Llewellyn for the Night Jump title but in the end Sheers won by 10 feet.
In keeping with last year’s phenomenal season, Emma Sheers started off on the right foot this past weekend placing first in both Jump and Slalom. Sheers with a distance of 174 feet rightfully took first place by 10 feet in Jump. In Slalom, Sheers topped every round making her final run 2.5@11.25m to win the title. Team Nautique newcomer Clemintine Lucine finished third in Tricks with a score of 6660 points, she also took third in Slalom, and placed fourth in Jump.
