ORLANDO, FL (January 11, 2005) — Team Nautique recently signed former IWSF World Champion Leslie Kent as its newest member.Team Nautique chose Kent for her unique riding style and her ability as the only Pro Women’s Rider to perform her signature skill-- a “Pete Rose”. Team Nautique, known for its long standing policy of only inviting athletes with model behavior on and off the water, felt Kent’s long standing contribution to wakeboarding was a great benefit.
A Florida native and multi-sport athlete, Kent has also been featured in various wake boarding, skateboarding and surfing magazines and videos. She has been on the pro circuit garnering medals in the X-Games, Gravity Games, Pro Tour, IWSF World Championship, and two National Championships since 1997.“We are excited to have someone like Leslie on the team, she brings a lot of experience and talent and has the ambition it takes to succeed,” stated Ryan Lamos, Director of Promotions and Team Manager.
