ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando-based Correct Craft, Inc. is the recipient of its second consecutive J.D. Power and Associates award for customer satisfaction in the Ski/Wakeboard segment of its 2003 Boat Competitive Information Study.
Correct Craft received highest ratings at the J.D. Power Consumer Center at www.jdpower.com in every major factor of overall satisfaction in the Ski/Wakeboard boat segment, which includes: Overall Rating, Quality & Reliability, Value for Money, Exterior, Ride & Handling, and Ski & Board Usage.
Correct Craft also received the highest rankings in ten of twelve satisfaction factors in the study, with strong performance for engine and propulsion, maintenance and boat warranty coverage.
As a whole, product satisfaction within the Ski/Wakeboard segment is still higher than any of the other six boat segments, and Correct Craft also rated highest in quality, with the fewest problems. Correct Craft owners report fewer problems than every brand within this segment.
The Pleasurecraft Marine Engine Group (PCM) powered boats used by Correct Craft ranked highest with respect to overall engine satisfaction and product quality, and continue to outperform their competition.
In addition to providing an analysis of product satisfaction and quality problems, the study ranks boat manufacturers on an index of several product factors, including the boat's exterior, features and controls, ride and handling, comfort and convenience, and engine and propulsion system performance and maintenance.
The J.D. Power and Associates 2003 Boat Competitive Information Study is based on responses from a total of 10,734 owners of 2002 and 2003 model-year boats purchased between January 2002 and February 2003.
The second annual study also finds that those who test drive their boat prior to purchase are significantly more satisfied than those who do not. Again, Correct Craft vice-president Larry Meddock says that, "This factor has been the major point in Correct Craft's marketing strategy for a number of years, stressing its claim that the only real test that matters is yours."
Correct Craft will take the opportunity to personally thank its employees, dealers and major suppliers at its upcoming annual dealer meeting in Orlando, Florida this month. "Correct Craft dealers do a great job of representing our products and giving us the most satisfied customers in our industry, as our own satisfaction surveys have indicated," Meddock stated.
"Our suppliers also play a very important part in supplying Correct Craft with the finest materials available. Our craftsmen are the best in the industry, backed by a staff of professionals all working in concert to build the finest ski and wakeboard boats possible - as we have for nearly 80 years. Correct Craft is very proud of this very special team," concluded Meddock.
Correct Craft, Inc. manufactures the world-renowned Ski Nautique and Air Nautique inboard towboats.
