ORLANDO, FLA (April 29, 2011) — Today, Nautique announced the addition of two young and incredibly talented siblings, Paulie and Tori Koch to its team of athletes.
Fourteen-year-old Paulie Koch has been wakeboarding since the age of three. He had his amateur breakthrough season in 2010 winning the WWA Wakeboard World Championship, USA National Championship and also the PCM Best Trick for a massive KGB at the WWA Nautique Wakeboard National Championships behind the Super Air Nautique 230. Transworld Wakeboarding magazine recently described Paulie as the “Future Pro.”
“I am honored to be representing the premier wakeboard boat brand, Nautique and sharing this experience with my sister and training partner, Tori, is a dream come true,” stated Paulie Koch. Nautique’s quality product and family atmosphere are essential to me as I continue to develop into the best rider that I can be,” added Koch.
Tori Koch the oldest sibling of the Koch family started competing at the age of five and has been Paulie’s training partner for more than eight years. Missing the 2009 and the first part of the 2010 season due to a knee injury, Tori made her comeback at the WWA Nautique Wakeboard National Championships where she was crowned the Junior Women’s National Champion. A few months later Tori won at USA National Championship.
“Becoming a part of the team and training behind a Nautique can only mean bigger and better things for my riding. Nautique contributes to the progression of the wakeboard industry immensely each year through their innovations with their boats and I am very excited to become a part of that,” commented Tori Koch.
“We are very excited to have Paulie and Tori join the incredibly talented group of athletes we have on Team Nautique. Both Paulie and Tori are very motivated and extremely gifted on and off the water, we are thrilled that they have chosen to ride and train behind a Nautique.” stated Nautique’s President/CEO Bill Yeargin.
