Nautique and the Ski Nautique Club de Bordeaux, one of Europe’s world renown waterski sites, have joined forces. The two organizations will be working together to promote water skiing and to expand opportunities for skiers to participate on an international level.
“As the very first European skier to participate in the Big Dawg series this is a tremendous honor to host the first Big Dawg European stop,” commented Ski Nautique Club de Bordeaux’s Owner Thierry Malhomme.
The Big Dawg – Europe tournament will be held at the Ski Nautique Club Bordeaux in Baurech just outside of Bordeaux, France and will be pulled exclusively by the world record breaking Ski Nautique 200. The event will take place on August 13-14, 2011 in conjunction with the European Senior Tour.
The top 8 competitors will receive an invitation to participate in the Big Dawg Finals in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 23-24, 2011.
“We are extremely excited to expand the Big Dawg series into Europe, stated Nautique’s President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “The Big Dawg is clearly the most prestigious 35 and older amateur ski series in the world and this new event in Europe, combined with the Big Dawg events in North America, South America and Australia, will give skiers around the world an opportunity to participate in this great series. We look forward to crowning the new Big Dawg this year in West Palm Beach at Okeeheelee Park!” Yeargin added.
