ORLANDO, FLA (October 5, 2011) — Earlier this week, a group of Nautique employees traveled to Yetebon, Ethiopia to visit Project Mercy, an organization Nautique supports.
Project Mercy, Inc., is a U.S. based not-for-profit relief and development agency that promotes education, health care, and other holistic community development projects in Ethiopia to create economically independent communities with high ethical and social values. Nautique employees spent time reviewing Project Mercy’s extensive support for the Ethiopian people and brainstormed how Nautique can continue to help Project Mercy with current and new projects.
This is the sixth service trip Nautique employees have taken outside of the Central Florida in the past four years. The previous five trips have included two trips to Mexico to build homes for needy families, a trip to work at a center for homeless mothers in Nicaragua, a trip to build beds for disadvantaged families in Guatemala and this past summer a trip to help build homes on the Apache Reservation in Arizona.
“It was amazing to see first-hand the incredible work Project Mercy is doing to help the people of Ethiopia,” stated Nautique President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “I encourage everyone to learn more about this incredible organization at Project Mercy,” added Yeargin.
