ORLANDO, FLA (October 18, 2013) — Team Nautique’s athlete Erika Lang set a new Trick World Record of 10,180 points behind the world record setting Ski Nautique 200 this past weekend.
The record was set at a tournament held at Imperial Lakes in El Centro, California and is pending approval from the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF). At 17 years old, Lang is still competing at the junior level and has been a force to be reckoned with after coming very close to breaking the record a few times this season.
“The Ski Nautique 200 is such an incredible boat with its solid wakes and super smooth surface it provided me with the necessary tools I needed to set the pending world record," commented Team Nautique athlete, Erika Lang.
“Everyone at Nautique couldn’t be more excited for Erika’s world record accomplishment behind the Ski Nautique 200 this past weekend!” stated Nautique President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “Erika is an outstanding athlete and person; she has a very bright future and we are very proud to have her on Team Nautique,” Yeargin added.
