ORLANDO, FLA (November 1, 2013) — Last week, Nautique representatives traveled from Orlando, Florida, to India to visit the work of As Our Own, an organization that Nautique supports.
While in India the Nautique team saw firsthand the cruelty and challenges suffered by the victims of poverty and human trafficking. However, the Nautique team also visited facilities run by As Our Own that are doing an incredible job helping those victims. Nautique CEO, Bill Yeargin, was honored to conduct the groundbreaking of an expansion at one of the As Our Own facilities in India and both Yeargin and Team Nautique athlete Shaun Murray were honored to speak at several different events while in the country. The Nautique team finished the trip committed to helping both those most vulnerable in India and the people who are helping them.
The Nautique team has already begun working on a plan to use Nautique’s resources and influence to help As Our Own in the incredible work they are doing helping others in India. The plan will be announced by year-end but in the meantime people can learn more about As Our Own at www.asourown.org.
“A few years ago I had the opportunity to meet As Our Own CEO Ralph Borde at a meeting we both attended in Durnstein, Austria. Since that meeting Ralph and I have become friends and I have had the honor of helping his organization with their Strategic Planning. The more I have learned about As Our Own the more impressed I am and it was truly an honor to visit their incredible work in India,” stated Nautique President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “Later this year we will be sharing more about how others can join us in helping As Our Own but until then I strongly encourage people to check out what they are doing at www.asourown.org, ” added Yeargin.
