ORLANDO, FLA (June 17, 2014) — Nautique is excited to announce the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) has approved Erika Lang’s two world records set behind the Ski Nautique 200 last month.
Lang at the age of 18 years old has set two additional Women’s Trick World Records of 10,360 and 10,460 points behind the record breaking Ski Nautique 200 at the Crystal Point Tournament in Gilbert, AZ on May 10 – 11th. Lang has broken three World Records since October 2013 and this is the sixteenth and seventh world records set behind the world renowned Ski Nautique 200!
World Record Holder Erika Lang commented, “To have accomplished breaking three world records within 7 months is an amazing feeling and I couldn’t be happier. I’m thankful to work with an amazing company such as Nautique, their Ski Nautique 200 wake is always consistent which allows me to push my limits and continue to break world records.”
“The Nautique family couldn’t be more proud to have such an outstanding athlete such as Erika Lang. To break a world record is an achievement in itself but to do it twice in a weekend and three times within 7 months is unbelievable. We are so happy the Ski Nautique 200 is a part of Erika’s training that gives her a consistent wake whether she’s competing or training,” stated Nautique CEO Bill Yeargin. “The Ski Nautique 200 has now pulled 17 world records, along with innumerable national, regional and personal bests; there’s no other towboat on the market that can even compete,” Yeargin added.
