Official Nautique Press Release:
ORLANDO, FLA (December 5, 2014) —-- In a State with 18,200 manufacturers, Nautique Boat Company has been selected as Florida’s 2014 Manufacturer of the Year!
This award, presented annually by the Manufacturer’s Association of Florida (MAF), is given to a manufacturer who demonstrates leadership in all areas of its business. It is the result of a significant vetting process which includes on sight visits and operational reviews from various manufacturing peers and MAF officials.
The award was announced December 4, 2014 at the MAF Manufacturer’s Summit in Destin, Florida. Prior winners include Lockheed Martin, Harris Corporation and Johnson and Johnson.
This latest award is one of many won by the Nautique team over the past several years. Nautique has also been acknowledged the past two years as its industry’s “Manufacturer of the Year.” Additionally, Nautique has received awards from its industry for “Boat of the Year,” “Wakeboard Boat of the Year,” “Wakesurf Boat of the Year,” “Most Innovative Product,” “Innovation of the Year,” “Buzz Brand of the Year,” and many others.
Over the past several years Nautique has created a unique culture that flows out of its “Nautique Cares” philosophy. The culture incudes highly advanced application of Lean Six Sigma principles, a strong focus on continued development of employees (resulting in many employees receiving advanced degrees the past few years), a strong desire to exceed customer expectations through market driving product and great service, a commitment to use our resources to make the world better, and a group of employees who like to have fun.
“We have an amazing team at Nautique; I am so incredibly proud of them for winning this award. There are many world class manufacturers in Florida and the examination of our operations was rigorous; to be selected as the best in the State is a real tribute to a special group of people who make up the Nautique team,” stated Nautique President and CEO, Bill Yeargin. “We have a very unique and amazing culture at Nautique (and all our Correct Craft companies); I appreciate the work done by the MAF and their recognition of both our team and what we have built at Nautique!” Yeargin added.
