Official Nautique Press Release:
ORLANDO, FL (April 19, 2015) -- Team Nautique athlete Aliaksei Zharnsek set a new pending Tricks World Record of 12,740 points behind the Ski Nautique 200 during the the Isles Trick Time tournament at Isles of Lake Hancock in Winter Garden, FL.
Zharnasek set the previous World Record in 2011 with a score of 12,570 points and has been looking for the edge he needed to make history once again. Signing with Nautique this year, he has absolutely dominated, setting two new course records behind the Ski Nautique 200 at the Moomba Masters just last month, and now breaking the World Record for the second time in his career.
“I am thrilled beyond words to break the Tricks World Record with a huge score of 12,740 points!! I couldn’t be more thankful to Nautique Boats for providing the best ski boat in the world. This boat has allowed me to show what I can do on the water. The Ski Nautique 200 without a doubt deserves all of the awards, and it’s just incredible to ski behind,” said Zharnasek.
This will be the eighteenth world record towed by the Ski Nautique 200 since it’s release in 2010. That is more than all other ski boats combined, and includes Word Records in all three disciplines (slalom, jump, trick) and overall.
“Congratulations to Aliaksei on this monumental achievement,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “We are fortunate to have the best athletes in the world representing Nautique and moments like these continue to build on the legacy of the Ski Nautique 200,” added Meloon.
