Official Nautique Press Release:
ORLANDO, FLA (October 30, 2015) – Today Nautique hosted High School students from Central Florida as part of National Manufacturing Month. National Manufacturing Month is celebrated throughout the United States with events hosted by numerous manufacturing companies with a primary goal of sharing manufacturing career opportunities with local students.
Nautique partnered on this event with local manufacturing organizations through our affiliation with the Manufacturers Association of Florida. The team from Nautique spent the day working together with the students providing them an in-depth tour of the Nautique manufacturing facility, which is currently experiencing a 50,000 sq. ft. expansion of both the Manufacturing and Product Design & Development facilities. After the tour Nautique provided lunch for the students and facilitated engaging simulation exercises so they could apply what they had learned.
“Our Nautique team was thrilled to host local students at our world-class manufacturing facility. This is a great way to expose the next generation workforce to manufacturing career opportunities and highlight products produced locally,” stated Nautique President Greg Meloon. “This creates local pride, economic opportunities and encourages the students to experience firsthand companies that manufacture products in their own backyard. These students are the future of our community and country, and we are happy to share the many opportunities available to them through manufacturing careers,” Meloon added.
