Official Nautique Press Release:
ORLANDO, FL (November 17, 2015) – The IWWF Tournament Council has officially approved Nautique athlete Jacinta Carroll’s Jump World Records of 193ft and 194ft set behind the Ski Nautique 200 at the Sunset Cup – MLCQ tournament held on May 16th and 17th in Groveland, Florida.
USA Water Ski recently held the annual Approved Tournament Towboat Evaluation where the Ski Nautique 200 powered by the all-new H5DI and H6DI exceeded all testing criteria clearing the path for Jacinta’s World Record Jump approvals. Nautique, PCM and GM Marine Engine Technologies partnered to introduce this industry-leading engine technology in the 2016 Nautique products. This package made its competitive debut this past May at the 2015 Masters Waterski Tournament LCQ. The results were outstanding with Carroll breaking the World Record a total of three times during two rounds of competition with a 193ft jump in the first round and two 194ft jumps in the second.
"After setting the pending World Records in May, I am completely over the moon to hear that they have been approved! Thank you once again to Nautique for providing the pull to get the job done with the new 6.2L DI engine in the Ski Nautique 200. The pull I am experiencing with this amazing new boat and engine combination is like none other and definitely makes me feel that the 200-foot jump is possible,” said Carroll.
Carroll’s records brought the Ski Nautique 200 World Record total to nineteen and counting with athletes that continue to push the limits of possibility. Since their release, PCM’s new direct-injection engines continue to have record-breaking results with the Ski Nautique 200. Earlier this month, Nautique athlete and Slalom World Record holder Nate Smith challenged his current record tying his score of 2.5@43off behind the Ski Nautique 200.
“Congratulations to Jacinta on the official approval of her Jump World Records,” stated Nautique President Greg Meloon. “The results we have seen from the athletes with these new state-of-the-art engines in the Ski Nautique are amazing. Nautique continues to be dedicated to working with our partners to provide products that break boundaries on the water,” Meloon added.
