Official Nautique Press Release:
Acworth, GA (August 7, 2017) - The crowd was ready and the weather was perfect as the Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships capped off an incredible week behind the award-winning G23. The crowds on shore and in the boat line were full of eager fans prepared to watch the best riders in the world throw down for National titles on picturesque Lake Allatoona.
During the amateur divisions, the future of the sport hit the water using the perfect wakes behind the G23 to showcase their skills. Top-skilled wakeboarders of all ages were comfortable behind the G23, the 4X Wakeboard and 3X Wakesurf boat of the year, and were able to boast their best riding. One of the highlights during of the week was when ripper Jesse Deemer landed a tantrum in the Adaptive Standing division earning him the PCM Amateur Trick of the Week award.
The Pro Women took to Lake Allatoona behind the award-winning G23 and when the waters calmed down it was Nautique team rider Meagan Ethell taking home the National title. After throwing down two insane passes, she finished up her Nationals winning run with a stalefish roll to blind to seal the win. “I'm so pumped to win the Nautique Wakeboard Nationals,” said Meagan. “To be back on the water and throwing down the way I want felt unreal. All the ladies absolutely threw down too, and this was definitely an event to remember.”
