Official Nautique Press Release:
Orlando, FL (October 19, 2017) - In celebration of National Manufacturing Day, Nautique hosted a group of students from Timber Creek and Cypress Creek High Schools today. In a partnership with the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida, the team here at Nautique gave the local students a tour of our world-class facility and the opportunity to watch professional athlete Shaun Murray do a demonstration behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23.
Manufacturers from around the United States participate in National Manufacturing Day each year inviting students from their local communities to come witness their processes and to explore manufacturing career opportunities. It was a special experience for the students as they were able to see first-hand how a Nautique boat is made inside the factory, and then witness their application with the on-water demo.
The experience of seeing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is something the students will not soon forget, with an in-depth tour and presentations from various departments throughout the organization gave the students a good knowledge base of each process. They then applied the manufacturing principles and concepts they learned while seeing the boats in action on the water.
“We always enjoy giving students the opportunity to experience our facility and witness how our award-winning Nautique boats are crafted,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “We hope that this experience was inspirational for them, and as they look to their career paths explore opportunities to design, develop and produce world-class products here in their local community.”
