I'm not sure the point in making such a giant bow (relatively speaking), if they didn't plan on opening it up? They know 1st hand 200 OB/CB sales, so they've planned accordingly no doubt. It's fantastic that CC put so much R&D into this boat. Even focused on the trick skiers.

No doubt they know their target audience. My opinion is just that, an opinion. But honestly how many ski nautique open bows have you seen on the lake, the delta, or at tournaments. Hardly ever. There was zero walkthrough on the open bow ski and what a pain in my opinion. there obviously is a demand/supply issue otherwise G23 would not be sold out currently which seems to be the case from what I am hearing. And trick Skiing, is that even a sport anymore.... I think of that like I think of Kneeboarding....people used to ride those things but who does that anymore

It certainly will be interesting how the OB plays into this, agree with Scott, my money would be the production numbers on the 200 were probably heavily weighted toward OB's.
Market is not only Pro's for tournament IB's, lot's of us out there who love to ski but want more space when we are not skiing for the kid's, etc.
Posted in the other thread, will there be an OB version of this boat, will they keep the 200OB available or will it be like previously with the 196 where a different model OB is offered like the 206 of that era. Would be really surprised if NO tournament DD is offered with an open bow. The GS is not the answer in my opinion, no comparison.

My competitive ski friends have open bows and it was nice when you’re out with a kid or something who wants to come along for the ride. You say there isn’t a walk through into the bow?? The seat folds down and reveals seadeck.
