Official Nautique Press Release:
Orlando, FL (November 25, 2019) -The Nautique Cares volunteers were in Puerto Rico last month to build a home after it was devastated by recent hurricanes. Nineteen Nautique employees and athletes worked alongside a local mission group and the city government when they came to the assistance of an elderly couple in need of a new home since their residence had been destroyed.
With a foundation and floor to start, the Nautique team constructed the walls, roof, front and back porches with ramps; installed windows, doors, electric wiring and much more. Out of their own pockets, our team purchased the family a stove, TV, linens, and a new couch among other necessities. After helping them to move into their new home, the Nautique team celebrated with the family by handing-off the keys to their new home that signified the generous giving of time, talent and resources. “I’m extremely proud of the work that our Nautique Cares team has done on the island of Puerto Rico,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “It’s yet another testament to the great character of Nautique Team Members, contributing their own time to assist a family in need of a home and to make a difference in the community of Puerto Rico.”
