Official Nautique Press Release:
Orlando, FL (February 10, 2020) - Nautique Boat Company is proud to announce the partnership with GOODE Skis for the 2020 Nautique Big Dawg World Tour, presented by GOODE Skis, in memory of Dave Goode. The series will feature two events that crown both a European Champion, as well as a North American Champion.
This year, the European Big Dawg World Tour event will be held just outside of Madrid at the Botaski Seseña Waterski Center on June 26-28, 2020, in Seseña, Spain in conjunction with the Botaski ProAm. The North American Big Dawg World Tour event will take place at Shortline Lakes on August 28-30, 2020, in Elk Grove, California in conjunction with the California Pro-Am. Both tour stops will include two rounds of 34-mph slalom action, followed by a heart-pounding, bracketed 16-skier head-to-head finale.
The top 34-mph amateur slalom skiers 35 and older, will vie to win either series event and then earn the opportunity to compete Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30, 2021, at the Nautique Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament, presented by GM Marine Engine Technology at Callaway Gardens, Georgia, to claim the 2020 Big Dawg Champion title.
“I am thrilled for another year of the Nautique Big Dawg World Tour,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “We’re really excited that GOODE Skis has pledged support for the tour, and look forward to a great couple of events this year in Dave’s memory behind the record-setting Ski Nautique with the world’s top 34 mph waterskiers!”
