Pine Mountain, GA (May 30, 2021) - The 61st Nautique Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament presented by GM Marine concluded today at Callaway Gardens with the worlds best taking home Masters titles. The weather was perfect for the record-setting Ski Nautique and the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 to pull Masters champions to unbelievable performances.
Team Nautique athlete Anna Gay continued her weekend of incredible skiing when she took home the Pro Masters win during the Women's Trick division. Anna scored an amazing 10,190 points to earn her spot on the top of the podium.
“I am really excited to win my second Masters trick title,” said Nautique Team athlete Anna Gay “It’s an honor to be competing here for the ninth time and to attend every Masters since I was born. Being able to compete here with my family over the years makes this weekend so special and I’m so thankful to Nautique for putting on this event.”
After Anna, it was another Team Nautique athlete Neilly Ross (CAN) taking second place, with Giannina Bonnemann (GER) and Paige Rini (CAN) rounding out the Final round.
In the Pro Men Trick discipline, Team Nautique athlete Pato Font (MEX) kept his momentum going after breaking a 14-year old course record yesterday. During the finals today he posted an incredible score of 12,120 to add another Masters title to his name.
“I am super pumped to be able to defend my Masters title and capture the course record this weekend as well,” said Nautique Team athlete Pato Font “It’s always a unique experience when skiing at Robin Lake and I’m hoping to repeat it next year!”
Pato was followed by Louis Duplan-Fribourg (FRA), Aliaksei Zharnasek (BLR), and Adam Pickos (USA) respectively.
Pulled by the GM Marine powered Ski Nautique, Jaimee Bull (CAN) was able to put together incredible passes to take home the win in the Pro Women’s slalom. After running 2.00 @ 10.75m, Jaimee skied to victory to collect her Master’s title. Manon Costard (FRA), Brooke Baldwin (USA) and Team Nautique athlete Whitney McClintock Rini (CAN) rounded out the rest of the field.
Robin Lake set the scene for the Pro Men’s Slalom finals where the massive crowds saw Frederick Winter (GBR) earn his way to the top spot on the podium for the second consecutive Masters. It was Frederick’s day, skiing masterfully behind the record-setting Ski Nautique. Nate Smith (USA), Will Asher (GBR) and Dane Mechler (USA) rounded out the Pro Men’s Slalom division.
The Super Air Nautique G23 wake was perfect during the Women’s Wakeboard Finals where the many on hand witnessed Mary Morgan Howell (USA) not only enter her first Masters final, but ride perfectly to capture her very first Masters title.
The crowds cheered on the best riders in the world during the Pro Men Wakeboard division, when the world’s best performing flawlessly behind the PCM and GM Marine powered G23. In the end, it was Guenther Oka (USA) riding flawlessly to take the win with Team Nautique athlete Cory Teunissen (AUS) in second place. Nik Rapa (AUS) and Thomas Herman (USA) rounded out the third and fourth spot respectively.
Spectators cheered during the Pro Women Jump finals behind the PCM-powered Ski Nautique. During the Pro Women’s Jump Finals, the crowds watched as Hanna Straltsova (BLR) flew 173 feet to victory. She was followed by Lauren Morgan (USA), Taryn Grant (CAN) and Giannina Bonnemann (GER).
The Pro Men’s Jump Finals concluded the weekend’s events where the crowds watched as Freddy Krueger won his 14th Masters title, tying the great Andy Mapple with the most Masters titles in Tournament history. Freddy won decisively jumping 222 feet. After Freddy, it was Joel Poland (GBR), Jack Critchley (GBR) and Felipe Miranda (CHI).
