Pine Mountain, GA (May 27, 2022) - The 62nd Nautique Masters kicked off today with the Ski Nautique and Super Air Nautique G23 making their weekend debut on Robin Lake. The world’s best junior waterski and wakeboard athletes took to the water and claimed titles during the 29th Nautique Junior Masters, presented by GM Marine.
The world record-setting Ski Nautique started the day pulling Daniela Verswyvel (COL) to a Junior Masters title with a score of 6,770 points in the Junior Women's Trick division. After setting a course record of 11,230 in the semi final round, it was Jake Abelson (USA) taking home the Junior Men's Trick discipline behind the Ski Nautique as well after scoring 8,680 points in the Finals.
Charlie Ross (CAN) showcased his talents and received a Junior Masters title during the Junior Men’s Slalom final after he ran 1.00 @ 10.25 M behind the Ski Nautique breaking the Junior Masters course record. “I’m really happy about my performance today," said Charlie Ross, "I’ve been working hard at home and I was glad I could put it together when the pressure was on. I want to give a big thanks to the organizers and Nautique for putting on such an amazing event. This is a moment I’ll never forget!”
During the Junior Women's Slalom division, it was thirteen year old Christhiana De Osma (PER) who defeated the rest of the field and earned her first Junior Masters title after running 5 @ 12.00 M.
The conditions were set up perfectly on Robin Lake for the Junior Masters Jump divisions, where Shae O'Brien (CAN) jumped a distance of 133 feet (40.5m) to win the 29th Junior Masters title for the Junior Womens Jump division. The Ski Nautique then pulled Florian Parth (ITA) during the Junior Mens Jump division to a distance of 177 feet (53.8m) to win the Junior Masters title.
The award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 then hit the water to set up perfect wakes for the Junior Wakeboard divisions. After laying down two incredible passes in the Junior Women’s Wakeboard division, Kira Lewis (USA) celebrated her second Junior Masters title after achieving a score of 84.00. During the Junior Mens Wakeboard division, the award-winning G23 pulled Stefano Comollo (ITA) to his first Junior Masters title after he impressed the judges with two stellar passes that earned him a 83.33.
After an incredible day, it was Nellie Allard (CAN) taking the Overall Junior Women Masters title with 2,700.24 points. On the Junior Men side of things, it was Florian Parth (ITA) who won the Overall Junior Men Masters title after accumulating 2,749.022 points.
