Orlando, FL (October 16, 2023) - The International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation hosted the Waterski World Championships in Groveland, Florida this week with Nautique athletes capturing world titles. The Ski Nautique was on hand to pull the very best waterskiers from around the world to some astonishing performances.
Team Nautique athlete Ryan Dodd won the Men’s Jump division and earned yet another Worlds victory behind the Ski Nautique. “For two years I have counted down the days until this moment” said Ryan Dodd, “To continue to be the reigning World Champion for a decade now, every decision must be calculated, every training opportunity optimized, and everyone in my circle must strive to improve constantly. I am so thankful to be a part of the Nautique team that inspires me and strives for excellence.”
After setting a tournament record behind the Ski Nautique in the preliminary round, Team Nautique’s Erika Lang took home the top spot in the Women’s Trick portion of the event. “I’m so incredibly happy to take home the World title as well as set the tournament record with a score of 10,930 points in the preliminary round.” said Erika Lang, “Jack Travers always provides amazing conditions and the wakes on the Ski Nautique are always so clean and consistent allowing me to push the limits every time I’m on the water!”
Team Nautique skier Pato Font also earned a top spot on the podium of the Men’s Trick division after putting together two smooth passes in the final round behind the Ski Nautique and earning himself another world title. “Super excited to be able to win my second World Championship and to tie the World Record in the preliminary round.” said Pato Font. “Thanks to Nautique Boats for the continuous support.”
