Official Nautique Press Release:
Orlando, FL (June 17, 2024) - Nautique Team athlete Charlie Ross has once again etched his name in waterski history by breaking the Under 21 World Record behind the Ski Nautique.
Surpassing his previous U21 World Record, Charlie ran 5 @ 41’ in Open Men’s Slalom to set the new World Record that has been confirmed by the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF). The record was set during stop #1 of the Masters Qualifying Tournament Series held at the Winter Garden Ski School, in Winter Garden, Florida.
“I am thrilled to have surpassed my previous Under-21 World Record behind the Ski Nautique!” Said Charlie. “Running 5 at 41’ off at the first Masters Qualifier has been the highlight of my season so far. Not only did this score break the U21 world record, but it also tied the Canadian Open Men’s Slalom Record and punched my ticket into the Masters! This achievement has given me a big confidence boost that I hope to carry with me through the rest of the season.”
Charlie’s record-breaking performance not only highlights his individual skill, but also emphasizes Nautique’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of three-event towed watersports innovation. As the leader in the industry, Nautique is proud to provide athletes with the tools and technology needed to achieve greatness on the water.
“I’d like to congratulate Charlie on this defining accomplishment. His relentless pursuit of excellence embodies the spirit of our brand,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. "The Ski Nautique once again has provided what it takes to break another world record. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Charlie!“
