Official Nautique Press Release:
Orlando, FL (November 7, 2024) - Nautique Boats kicked off the 2025 Nautique Wakesurf Series this past weekend with a new, additional stop in the series, the 2024 Wakesurf Championships – Dubai Creek Edition. The award-winning, YANMAR diesel powered Super Air Nautique G25 threw perfect waves with the iconic Dubai skyline as the backdrop on the prime waters of the Dubai Creek Marina.
The crowds of the Viya Marine Dubai Creek Preowned Boat Show witnessed the world’s best wakesurfing as this first stop of the season saw a vast range of over 50 international professional and amateur athletes representing 10 different countries. The United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Lebanon, Ukraine, Japan, Cypress, Spain, and Germany were among those proudly represented.
Nautique Athletes dominated the podium with Noah Flegel taking the win in both Pro Men Skim and Pro Men Surf, and Bailey Dunn claiming victory in both Pro Women Skim and Pro Women Surf! Team Nautique athlete Jodi Grassman also put on an incredible performance, taking 2nd place in Pro Women Skim and 3rd place in Pro Women Surf.
Although this event was held in 2024, it will count as the first stop of the 2025 Nautique Wakesurf Series, making the series 5 stops and giving athletes an extra opportunity to gain points along with the ability to drop their lowest score of the season.
“The Wakesurf Championships – Dubai Creek Edition was the perfect start to the 2025 season,” said Nautique President, Greg Meloon. “The Nautique Wakesurf Series aims to bring the highest level of competition to international destinations across the globe, and this event truly delivered an exceptional experience.”
