Official WWA Press Release:
Auburndae, FL (February 7, 2025) -The Nautique Masters Wakeboard Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) is set to return to in-person competition at beautiful Champions Lake in Auburndale, Florida, on Sunday, April 26th. This event will take place in conjunction with the Nautique WWA Florida State Championships, presented by Wake United and Watersports Central, promising a weekend of unparalleled wakesports competition.
This year's LCQ offers an opportunity for Pro Men, Pro Women, Jr. Men, and Jr. Women wakeboarders to earn a coveted spot in the prestigious Nautique Masters Waterski and Wakeboard Tournament presented by GM Marine. After a virtual format over the past few years, the return to an in-person event adds an extra layer of intensity and excitement as athletes battle it out on the water for their chance to compete amongst the world's best.
"We're thrilled to bring the Nautique Masters Wakeboard LCQ back to an in-person format," said Shannon Starling, President of the World Wake Association. "Champions Lake provides the perfect venue for this high-stakes competition, and we anticipate seeing some incredible riding as these athletes vie for a spot in the Nautique Masters."
The collaboration with the Nautique WWA Florida State Championships, presented by Wake United and Watersports Central, further elevates the weekend's excitement. Spectators can enjoy a full schedule of wakesports events, from amateur divisions to the intense LCQ showdown, all while experiencing the vibrant atmosphere and family-friendly activities.
