Lake Alfred, FL (January 22, 2025) - The World Wake Association (WWA) is thrilled to announce the addition of Scotty Broome to the team as Director of Global Events and Partnerships. Broome, a former professional wakeboarder and industry veteran, brings over two decades of experience to the role.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Scotty to the WWA,” said Shannon Starling, President of the WWA. “His extensive experience as a competitor, official, and judge, combined with his proven business acumen, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our global events and partnerships.”
Broome’s impressive career includes a Planet X Games silver medal and a WWA World Championship title. Beyond his athletic achievements, Broome has held key positions in top-tier companies such as Monster Energy, Newell Brands, ServiceNow, and Micromine, demonstrating his ability to excel in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
“I am honored to join the WWA and contribute to the growth of the sport,” said Broome. “I look forward to leveraging my experience and passion for wakeboarding to create world-class events and foster strong partnerships that will benefit the entire wake community.”
As Director of Global Events and Partnerships, Broome will be responsible for overseeing the WWA’s event strategy, developing new partnerships, and expanding the organization’s global reach. His leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving the future of wakeboarding.
