Official Watershed Innovations Press Release:
Merritt Island, FL (July 24, 2019) - Merritt Precision, Watershed Innovation’s milling company, announces facility expansion project.
Watershed Innovation’s Merritt Precision, a division of Correct Craft, recently announced the acquisition of 5 acres in Titusville for a facility expansion with plans to break ground late this summer. Merritt Precision is a Merritt Island based milling company specializing in large envelope CNC machining that delivers highly sophisticated plugs for the marine, automotive, and aerospace industries.
Titusville’s Economic Development Council sees Merritt Precision as an ideal fit as part of its efforts to attract innovative technology and space related businesses to the area. Merritt Precision, working with the council, has developed a site plan that is nearly 5 times bigger than its current location to advance and complement its CNC robotic machining operation. Merritt Precision expects a 50% capacity increase in its current capabilities. The expansion project is expected to be completed in late 2020.
Under Watershed Innovation, Merritt Precision will continue to work as an autonomous, standalone business providing the very best milled parts in a confidential environment to support both new and existing customers. Watershed has bold plans to grow the business as part of the company’s deep commitment to culture and innovation.
Doug Keehn, Merritt Precision Vice President/General Manager stated, “Watershed Innovation, our parent company, is helping Merritt Precision reach new heights. This expansion really will allow Merritt Precision to move in a direction that enhances our existing product, bring new capabilities to the company, and reach more companies that want only the very best for their brands.”
Watershed President Sean Marrero stated, “We have an amazing team, and it is not surprising that our customers want more from Merritt Precision. We are very excited to begin Merritt Precision’s expansion project. Through additional capacity, expanded capabilities, and new technologies, I have no doubt that Merritt Precision’s world class reputation will continue to grow and create a better future for the brands we work with.”
