Official Watershed Innovation Press Release:
Sweetwater, TN (October 1, 2020) - Merritt Precision has expanded into Tennessee and opened a new tooling center. The new operation manufactures molds, fixtures and composite parts for marine, automotive, aerospace, and other industries.
Speed to market is a critical success factor in today’s markets. With the new tooling operation in place, Merritt Precision offers a more complete line of services that focuses on the specialized work that happens between design and production. Any mistakes during this key phase costs a lot of money and, more importantly, time.
Sean Marrero, President of Watershed Innovation (parent company of Merritt Precision) stated, “Customers looking for this kind of work prefer a turn-key solution both to avoid costly delays and for a level of accountability that gets the job done without shifting responsibility to others. Our team understands these needs well because many of them have past experience as customers themselves.”
With a presence in both Florida and Tennessee, Merritt Precision is well positioned to both build on existing relationships and create new ones. Merritt Precision is also proficient in LRTM (lite resign transfer molding) and can support part orders in small quantities.
Marrero added, “This is the next step in our growth plan for Merritt Precision under Watershed. With our new tooling shop and multiple locations, we are well positioned to come alongside our customers in ways that let them use their resources for production instead of making molds. While we are open to new opportunities, our pedigree is marine. Our most successful relationships are ones where we help our customers focus on what they do best…build amazing boats!”
