      RE: NVS Entity

It seems like you are already sold on Wetsounds, but have you considered going with NVS or DBOT? Its at least something you may consider. I was just about to place an order for a set of Wetsounds until I came across the DBOT speakers. You might not have the problems in mounting if you went with another brand. Just a thought....

to me if you get a tower speaker without a horn you wasted your money. i have been waiting for this for years. ya i definitely have the loudest and clearest boat i've been around. i dont have too much bass, but it still works. i have a wetsounds 12, but i wanted to try out the factory sub amped right. eh..

I finally got tower speakers today so everyone can quit whining about all my posts about me being indecisive! I got two black Wet Sounds 485's and I will follow up with pics and install tips later this week.

my stereo shop installed the 420 in the glove box which sucks. i'm going to have it moved under the remote at the helm. should i just set my head unit to about 25 and just use the volume control on the 420?

              WOW!

I just got done installing my 485's and everything went pretty smooth with no mods. I highly recommend getting someone to help install these heavy monsters . For the people who actually want to know this (like me yesterday), the speaker brackets are up against the cross bar on each far side, which leaves the speakers around 2 inches from touching each other (that's about your only choice if you have a bimini). Although, folding the tower up and down just got 70 pounds harder and I definitely have to strain, (but it is still do-able with one person). Sound quality using the PDX amp is unbelievable and I can't wait to hear it from 80 out. Thanks for everyone's advice and I can honestly say I made the right choice (even though my wife is completely pissed off right now). I hope this helps some other Titan tower owners, and i'll post a pic this weekend.

                  Damador,

Did you have any problem mounting the 485's on the curvature of the Titan tower? I have the 3-some set-up and between the curved tower and clearing the bimini with the speakers, I'm expecting a problem.

                    RE: WOW!

No problem mounting them side by side, one edge bracket from each speaker is up against the cross member. I had to slide my bimini mounts over a couple of inches to accomodate, and they line up really good with only 1-2 inches between each speaker. It does hang down 11" (less than the Pro 80's 13") and my wife's head can clear the speakers standing under them at 5'4" tall. Anyone taller will have bend over, but they look really good while sitting and not in the way at all. I love them and highly recommend for the Titan tower.

If I were you, I would sell the Pro 80's and get another 485, it makes life easier wiring a two channel amp too.

Here is a pic with tower up. The weight from the bimini and speakers make this small Titan tower shake when in choppy water.
