My new to me 05 196

Picked up a very clean '05 SN196 last Friday to replace my '96 that I had to divest myself of a while back in a divorce. You just can't find em for a decent price in these parts. I'd been looking all over the southeast but it's a pain in the a$$ to buy a boat and bring it into texas and get it titled. If you already own it, it's far easier to get it titled in Texas. Phil Smith at Buxton in Lewisville cut me a smoking deal on this one and even put it on a brand new trailer.

She a beaut Shane. Congrats and enjoy. Sorry about the divorce thing. That always sucks to hear. You should notice a smaller softer wake over your 96. BTW, the lake looks great.

Thanks, Adrian! Yes, it's a 2500ft long man made lake near Conroe, Texas. It's on land owned by 2 friends of mine(brothers). Myself and 4 other skiers split maintenance costs with them so it works out well for us. Over the winter we drained it, resurveyed the slalom and jump course, killed all the mud catfish that were stirring up the bottom, refilled it and dyed it last weekend. a LOT of work and a TON of diesel to run the pumps. lol

Beautiful boat. I had no idea there were any private sites near Conroe. Have fun!

Here's when we were filling it up earlier this month. It's across hwy 105 from Lake Conroe off in the woods. Hardly anyone know's it exists. It's 2500ft long, about 250 ft wide, and 6 ft deep. It all started out back in the mid 90s when everyone was out on Lake Conroe and a jet skier ran OVER one of the brother's boat with his toddler in it. They said "we've got this land, let's build a lake". We were skiing on it in 97. The 2nd lake is about 1/4 done now and will be even more protected from wind than this one. Next time you're in the Houston area give me a ring at 281.686.4272 and I'll be happy to give you a pull.

We are hosting a tournament there tomorrow in fact.
