    having the front narrower, will greatly help triangulation, in turn making your tower twice as ridged side to side.

    ive been on supras that have the mounts inline(same width) front to back. with just one hand you can move the tower 2-3" side to side without effort, let alone pulling on it sideways on a hard cut!

      Hmmm... That's a very interesting point. I wonder if that's the reason, though. My tower is still not on the same plane, it's just not AS narrow to the front point in front of the blower vents. I've also wondered if the fiberglass is as thick on the vertical portion. Mine doesn't wobble side to side, though, at all and I'm a pretty big dude. I wonder...
