    Back to a Nautique

My first boat was a 1979 Ski Nautique. After many years with a Hydrodyne, we decided we needed a bit more room for 3 budding skiers/wakeboarders and decided on a Air Nautique 216. I wanted a direct drive with a slalom wake for me and a decent wakeboard wake for the kids. The clean look and graphics sold me on this 2003. It is nice to have a Nautique again.

    RE: Back to a Nautique

I like the nimbleness (if that is a word) of my 206 but we ski on a dedicated ski lake. If I spent the majority of the time on a big lake, I'd probably upsize to a 216.

Your's looks very nice....the black tower is a nice touch. Now all you need is a few thousand watts of music to wake up the fish.

Very nice looking boat, hope you get many years of use out of it. What lake is that it looks very familiar.

Thanks for the comments. We live near Raleigh NC and mostly ride Jordan Lake.

The lake in the picture is Smith Mountain Lake in VA. It is a beautiful lake and since my parents live on the lake, I will probably take the boat up there once or twice a year.

That's a beautiful boat. Wish I had a black tower on mine, but not enough to paint / powder coat the one I have.

SML is gorgeous. I'm hoping to head back up there next spring.

It is the boat that was on Ebay. I worked out a deal after the Ebay auction ended and picked it up in Johnson City TN. I certainly gave my Honda Ridgeline a tow test pulling it back over the mountains. Their didnt/dont seem to be too many 216's around and for sale so I knew I would need to travel a bit.

Thanks again for the nice comments. I look forward to this being our family boat for a while.
