like I said on WW, awesome boat and MORE PICTURES OF THE GARAGE please!
I'm very jealous.
Thanks. Love my shop. My wife tried to convince me to build it later rather than build it when building our house but I've alwasy grown up with a detached shop so I went ahead and did it. I have work to do on the inside though. Here are some more pictures.
so you can pull in and out WITHOUT lowering the tower, right? I have to lower the tower, remove the platform, and winch mine into the garage nose first (for clearance). 30 minutes IF I line everything up right. Has taken 2 hours...
Let's see: Mack Daddy 210, pick-up truck, full size dog, full size riding lawnmower in a sweet detached garage. Add a big screen, grill and fridge and you have the ultimate MAN CAVE!
I do not have to lower the tower. I built my garage this way after lowering the tower for 3 years on my previous boats when I stored my boat in my Mom's detached garage. Gets old so it is nice not to worry with that anymore.
The grill and beer fridge are in front on my truck. No TV or stereo out there..... yet.
1/2 ton. To be honest I don't even know it is back there when I get going. The 1500 in plenty of truck for a 210.
Agree....If not just get the lower gears. One certainly doesn't need 3/4 ton springs and frame to pull a ball mounted trailer with tongue weight of less than 500 lbs.
you think the 1/2 ton would have trouble with a 230?
Absolutely not, the 230 is only about 500 lbs heavier than the 210. I pull a camper on occasion that is 1500 lbs. heavier than my boat with no problem with my truck.
Any type of executive management, Financial engineering, marketing director, CLO for a small bank....
I'm about to start construction on my dream garage and I'm pretty stoked! 30x30 with 10x10 doors, bar room upstairs, shop down, store the boat and the old Porsche, half bath under the stairs. I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!! I can't wait to finally have it done.
I have an '08 Tundra 5.7, but previously had the 5.3 Z71 silverado. That Tundra is a beast, but the chevy was more than adequate to pull my 2001. We're getting a 28 ft. Travel trailer with quad bunks and I'm not anticipating any problems towing that with the right equipment. I have no idea what the boat weighs, but I can't imagine the camper is much more than that (6200 +/-?)
