You can use regular acetone to remove the stickers. It will not harm the gel coat if you just put it on a rag and use
it to wipe off the sticky stuff, black scuff marks, etc. BKH

Update: I have been slacking on getting the boat sanded and buffed out.

My water pump pully seized up on the last trip and overheated the motor and we had to be towed back to the ramp. Can I just go down the local autoparts store and pick a new one up for a 351? Or are these special? I need to replace this one ASAP.
