Performance Ski and Surf 216 V - Metalflake

Here are some early photos of the 216 V that the Product Development worked on for us. We are extremely honored to have the first metalflake boat Correct Craft has done in a LONG time. All the extra details added to this boat truly make it one of a kind. You'll see alot of things on this boat in the 2010 line. More updates on this to follow.

Thanks to all of Correct Craft for helping with this project!

I like it! It appears to be a more subtle metalflake compared to bass boats and MasterCrafts.

I love it!!! I also love how you can see the Nautiques reflection off the trailer on the side of the boat. Very nice.

I'm sure I will be in the minority, but it is an open forum. I don't care for it. Looks like a Malibu. When did CC decide it would not longer make boats that look like CCs. BKH

BKH, I'm with you. That was my first thought. Not bashing, just stating my opinion. But then again, the first time I saw the 216V, I thought it looked like a Malibu. So now the extra bling pushes it even more into that rhelm for me.

All I can say to you all.....photos here don't do it justice in the sunlight on the water....the metal flake is VERY subtle...almost pearlesceant. (sp?) As for the 216.....I've had 211's for the past 3 years....its been a GREAT crossover boat as we ski, wakeboard, surf and pull tubes...not to mention pulling wake tournaments with it (for the lower divisions that go slower speeds). The deeper sides / hulls make a difference with kids / family all over the boat and you feel alot more at ease with them in it...but the boat still handles and performs like you would expect a 21' boat should. The silver metalflake doesn't show up in the photo...but its rich and looks great in the sun. You will see both these metal flake colors in the 2010 line. Ramlin Trailer also worked hard to try and match the metal flake of the paint so it would go with the boat...(no easy process). Change is sometimes hard, but I think you'll be pleased when you see the boats with this shortly.

Bill, I wish you the best with the sales of the new boats. I drank the CC Kool Aid long ago, and doubt I will buy another brand. Still, I hope by the time I am ready to buy another new boat, they will have something I like. Again, I'm probably in the minority, but I don't like the direction it is going. There was time when CC blazed its own trail and others seemed to follow. Now it seems to me it is the other way around.

                  Hey bkhallpass,
I don't sell boats...just everything that goes behind them. But work with them doing events and involved in round table discussions on product. As for Correct Craft Blazing new trails.....all I can say is I've watched the changes that occurred at the company over the past years.....and watched them try to balance tradition with progression. Its extremely tough given the economic times. But their willingness and ability to try new things and improve on what they've done in the past will help them grow in the future. Sure there will be comparisons and similarities in some design / detail issues.....ALL companies do "R & D" (research and duplicate) to some extent, but as someone who has witnessed what their Product Development department has been working on....and IS working on...you will continue to see the more and more innovation. They are not resting on what they have done in the past.... When they release the photos / info on the new 200 Ski Nautique...take a hard look at all that is new within that boat. I think you will clearly see that Correct Craft has not lost sight of being a trailer blazer. And there will be more innovations to come across the board as the years progress. Remember that they have gone through ALOT of challenges on the infrastructure as a company. But they have also put into place a world class boat manufacturing facility as well as product development team(s) to try and help them create the innovative boats that set them apart from their competition. Its no easy task. But strides are being made. Keep an open mind.....look at what they are doing....I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

                  Best Regards,

                  Bill

Agreed, CC is trying to fit into the hip and young stylish look of a Malibu. I prefer the older simplistic look. I also think there is a difference, us skiing guys like the simple look while the boarders like the flashy Malibu look.
